Spring is just around the corner, especially in Paris. As you stroll along the bustling streets of the French capital, the air is getting warmer, the flowers start blooming, and a sweet scent begins to fill the air. Such a scene would be perfect with a hot cup of coffee and a delicious treat, wouldn't it? Fortunately, there are many cafes in Paris that give you just that! Right off the bat, there are Le Café Marly, Le Consulat, Les Deux Magots, Café De L’homme, and La Terrasse in Hôtel Raphael! What sets these hotspots from all the others? They just so happen to have the finest terrace areas.

Cafes in Paris: The Best Terraces

Le Café Marly

As far as cafes in Paris with terraces go, Le Café Marly is undoubtedly one of the best. Located in the 1st arrondissement, the hotspot is right beside the Louvre, arguably the most famous museum in the world. In fact, the terrace area itself lets you dine on fine French cuisine right by the iconic glass pyramid. You can bask in its architectural glory as you enjoy the cafe's signature dishes. Namely rigatoni with truffle, seared beef tartare with herbs, the Marly cheeseburger, and tom yan cod, to name a few. Don't forget some crème brûlée for dessert too!

Café De L’homme

Now, speaking of cafes in Paris with a great view of world-famous monuments, there are two in particular that have the most amazing terraces. Firstly there's Café De L’homme on Place du Trocadéro in the 16th arrondissement. Considering its location, you already know what you can view from here, right? There's probably no other hotspot in the city that can give you as amazing of a view of the Eiffel Tower as this one. Perched atop the Homme Museum, you can see the iconic monument from here. Pair that sight with any of their fine cocktails and you've got yourself a winner!

La Terrasse in Hôtel Raphael

Another great cafe with a terrace that offers a view of the Eiffel Tower is La Terrasse at Hôtel Raphael. Although it's all the way on Avenue Kléber, the distance makes it the perfect spot to have the world-famous monument as the backdrop of your first-class culinary experience here. It helps that the rooftop cafe also doubles as a garden. The botanical bliss enthused in this hotspot allows you to enjoy fresher air compared to the other cafes in Paris that are amidst all the hustle and bustle. That alone makes this place worthwhile.

Le Consulat

For a more traditional Parisian cafe with a terrace, look no further than the famous Le Consulat in Montmartre. Right smack in the middle of Rue Norvins, this historic coffee shop has charmed both locals and tourists alike for decades, possibly even centuries. But more than just its longevity, what has made Le Consulat practically iconic is how Instagram-worthy it is. Traven influencers and the like can't help but post about the place on their social media feeds. Cliche though as it may seem, the cafe truly upholds the cafe society part of the charming Parisian lifestyle.

Les Deux Magots

And finally, there's Les Deux Magots, another of the most iconic cafes in Paris. A well-known hotspot in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, the place has served countless historical figures over the years. A few of its many prominent patrons include Pablo Picasso, Simone de Beauvoir, Ernest Hemingway, Julia Child, James Baldwin, Jean-Paul Sartre, and Richard Wright. What do these people all have in common? They were the intellectual and creative elites of the late 19th century up until the mid-20th century. The fact that Les Deux Magots became their favorite hangout is reason enough to check this place out!
