Cafes in Paris: The Best With A View of The Eiffel Tower

September 25, 2022

'When I sit in Paris in a cafe, surrounded by people, I don't sit casually. I go over a certain sonata in my head and discover new things all the time.' This is a quote by Polish-American pianist, Arthur Rubinstein, and it perfectly encapsulates the charm surrounding the many cafes in Paris. There's just something about a cafe in this city that feels so magical, wherever it is. However, there's also no denying that the cafes that have incredible views of the Eiffel Tower, the city's most famous and treasured landmark, are something else. Just take a look at Chez Francis, Cafe Du Trocadero, Café De L’homme, Le Café Georges, and Moncoeur Belleville and you'll understand it instantly!

Cafes in Paris: The Best With A View of The Eiffel Tower

Chez Francis

Chez Francis is so near the Eiffel Tower that not only can you see it from the cafe, but it's really only a hop and a skip away. You barely have to walk to get to the iconic landmark. But what about the food? Is the feast on your plate as good as the feast for the eyes you get to enjoy here? You bet it is! Chez Francis is all about fine French food with a few other foreign cuisines sprinkled in there. It may not look like it, but you can actually get a cheeseburger here. But of course, it's a'la Chez Francis, which means it's far more sumptuous than the original American version.

Café Du Trocadéro

It's no secret that the Trocadéro is popular mainly because it's opposite the Eiffel Tower. There are very few areas in Paris that have as good a view of the world-famous tower as this one. So of course, a cafe located here—and named after it too!—would make it onto this list. Although Café du Trocadéro is among the most famous cafes in Paris because of its location and views, its food isn't to be ignored too! Think roasted duckling fillet paired with braised figs with honey. Or sea bass fillet with fennel drizzled with white butter sauce. If you're a vegetarian/vegan, you'd definitely enjoy their Ceasar salad with hard-boiled eggs, Parmesan cheese, and small buttered croutons too.

Café De L’homme

Contrary to its name, Café De L’homme isn't just for men. It's only named that way because it's located in Musee de l’Homme. As one of the few cafes in Paris that has a stunning view of the Eiffel Tower, it's open to everyone who wants to enjoy good food and bask in the glory of the city's arresting monument. The best seats in the house are on its massive terrace area, where the Eiffel Tower is in full view. You can catch glimpses of it in-between bites of your Mediterranean seafood, regional French cuisine, and delectable Parisian pastries.

Le Café Georges

Located in the famous Centre Pompidou museum, Le Café Georges is more like a luxury restaurant in Paris than an ordinary cafe. You can still enjoy a hot cup of coffee here, sure, but it's the haute cuisine that most people go here for. Not to mention, of course, that astounding view of the Eiffel Tower. Do take note that the place is so popular that you'd do well to book a table in advance. Make it a few weeks to a few months in advance. Your chances of snagging a table would be higher if you book this early!

Moncoeur Belleville

And finally, there's Moncoeur Belleville on Rue des Envierge. Though it's a lot farther compared to where the other hotspots on this list are located, the views from here are still second to none. In fact, not just the view of the Eiffel Tower, but the views of the entire city from here make it one of the best cafes in Paris. And beyond what you can see from Moncoeur Belleville, its entire ambiance is also a major selling point, Famous for its courtyard alfresco dining, and it's a great place to enjoy brunch or an early dinner as you watch a beautiful sunset.

Among the many cafes in Paris, some of the best ones are those that also offer incredible views of the Eiffel Tower. You can't get any more 'Parisian' than that even if you tried! They're so dreamy, you can hardly believe they're real!
