Spaniards aren't exactly known as morning people, are they? They have such a zest for life that you expect many of them to party all night long. Especially in cities like Barcelona and Madrid, where the names of the game are passion and having a good time. Yet, at the same time, the country's cuisine has some of the most scrumptious breakfast food you'll ever taste. Their comfort food is definitely no joke and truly live up to their name. Although Spanish cuisine isn't as popular as those of the country's neighbours, the French and the Italians, their breakfast food is still top-notch!

When you're on the go and you simply don't have time to stay on the table for a more normal breakfast, you can always pack some Tortas de Aceite. Crispy thin biscuits made out of wheat flour, olive oil, and almonds, this is arguably the healthiest option on this list. It's also the easiest to eat. You can make a fresh batch the night before and, the moment you wake up, just grab a few, put them in a bag, and you're off! Perhaps the most important and common ingredient here is the olive oil.
