Old Montreal

Right off the bat, you can't go on a trip to Montreal without taking pictures of its beautiful old district. This is where the beauty and charms of the old world remain ever-present and absolutely enchanting. From the cobblestone streets to Renaissance architecture, it really feels like you've traveled back in time. And it's always nostalgic aesthetics like this that make for great Instagram fodder. Not to mention the great foodie hotspots here too! If you didn't mention the Montreal neighborhood in your caption, your followers will think you're somewhere in Europe. Pretty cool, right?

Notre Dame Basilica

Since you're already in Old Montreal, make sure to stop by Notre Dame Basilica too! It's a stunning symbol of Gothic architecture and the French and European influences in the city. Some would even go so far as to say that it's more majestic than the iconic Notre Dame church in Paris. Especially the interior. While the one in the French capital has its imposing steel structure, the basilica here in Montreal shows off a more colorful design. The lighting here is more immaculate too; as if you're feeling a greater presence the nearer you get to its extravagant altar.

Saint-Louis Square

While Old Montreal is more filled with Gothic and Renaissance aesthetics, Saint-Louis Square leans more towards Victorian design. It's located just opposite the Sherbrook metro station, which means that getting here via public transport is easy and peasy. And once you reach the place, you won't help but snap away, capturing all sorts of angles of the imposing Victorian houses. They're so austere and symmetric, yet the bright colored details betray its more modern renovations. You'd especially want to capture this scene during winter. The sight looks straight out of a Christmas storybook.

Belvédère Kondiaronk

Without a doubt, Belvédère Kondiaronk is one of the finest Instagrammable spots in Montreal. It's arguably the best vantage point in the city, offering up an aerial view of the sprawling metropolis that's unlike any other. Despite how popular it is among tourists, there are still plenty of locals who hang out and chill on this broad terrace. It's that good of a hotspot! There are couples on dates, teenagers skating around, and families on picnics. With such a lively scene, you wouldn't know which to capture first. The excellent view of Montreal or the local lifestyle happening before your eyes. Both would look great on your feed!

And they're Instagram-worthy too! Not the least of which is Habitat 67, a residential complex on Avenue Pierre-Dupuy. This urban development looks like blocks upon blocks of luxury apartments in Montreal. It's as if a giant baby assembled them. Your Instagram followers would find it hard to believe that you can actually live in such a place! And despite its precarious-looking design, you can bet that the homes here are as sturdy as ever.

From a cubist design to a spherical masterpiece, the Biosphere is quite near Habitat 67. In fact, you can probably see it from the housing complex. But looking at it more closely is the way to go. It's the only way you can bask in its steel glory. And one look is enough to convince your that this is one of the best Instagrammable spots in Montreal. Sure, there are many other domes out there in the world, but none are as majestic as this one. It practically feels like it's a small planet. That's how magnificent the Biosphere truly is!

World Trade Center Montreal

As one of the main commercial centers in Montreal, the city's World Trade Center is already a popular hotspot. It might not be as tall and historic as the one in New York, but it's Instagram-worthy in its own right nonetheless. Especially the gorgeous fountain designed by French architect and sculptor Dieudonné-Barthélemy Guibal. The overall symmetry of the place will blow your mind, as will the stunning sculpture of the sea goddess Amphitrite at the center of it all. Come here at twilight when the lights are on to truly capture its magic on Instagram!

Crew Collective & Cafe

And finally, you can't miss the iconic Crew Collective & Cafe. Far from the charming cafes in Paris, this place looks more like a grand station or a jewelry store. Housed in the old Royal Bank space on Rue Saint-Jacques, the place has retained its ornate old-world design. Yet the cafe itself is pretty hip and modern. More than just a great place to get coffee, it's even become a staple among freelance workers in Montreal. those in need of a place to work can just head over here and accomplish their tasks in peace. All while marveling at the grandeur of it all!
