Oxford Street in central London is a shopper’s paradise with every high street store imaginable lining the busy road. It’s also close to Bond Street for high end shopping and Marylebone for independent boutiques. That’s why if you’re planning a shopping trip to the capital, you should choose one of these luxury apartments that are all within walking distance of some serious retail therapy.

Balcombe Street II

This three bedroom apartment in London’s stylish Marylebone district will make an ideal bolthole for spending a weekend in the capital. It’s within walking distance of the bustling Oxford Street which is one of the best shopping areas in London and close to Regent’s Park. Undoubtedly one of the city’s most beautiful parks, this is the perfect place to unwind after a day of browsing the shops.

Balcombe Street

Colville Road III

Located to the north of Hyde Park, in-between Notting Hill and Marble Arch, this is a convenient central location which places you in the middle of action but still close enough to lots of green space. Walk through the park to Marble Arch where you can head south and browse the designer shops of New Bond Street or walk east to find high street chains like Zara and H&M. There’s something for every budget.

Colville Road

Thanet Street

Just north of Russell Square and The British Museum, you’ll be able to take a 15 minute walk to the shops of Oxford Street or hail a black cab like a real Londoner. A charming mix of modern and traditional, this two bedroom apartment will be a home away from home during your break in London.

Thanet Street

Gloucester Walk

This lovely apartment is located in Notting Hill which is one of London’s coolest neighbourhoods but is still an easy walk away from Oxford Street if you want to indulge in some retail therapy. And the best bit? The walk is through the wild and wonderful Hyde Park which is the largest park in central London.

Lambs Conduit Street

Lambs Conduit Street is one of our favourite streets in the whole city and it’s still relatively unknown to most tourists so you’ll find yourself rubbing shoulders with in-the-know locals here. It’s close to Holborn tube station so you’re well connected to the rest of the city and you’re also within walking distance of Oxford Street and the shops of Tottenham Court Road.

High Holborn

A four bedroom, multi-level apartment near Holborn which will serve as a home away from home during a group visit to London. Whether your plans for the weekend involve eating or shopping, you’re in the right place. A stone’s throw from Oxford Street and Tottenham Court Road and conveniently located near some of the best dining options in the city. We recommend the newly opened Neptune for British favourites like lamb and fish and chips.

Hillgate Place

This area of West London has managed to retain its bohemian atmosphere despite the influx of affluent residents and high end shops. And that’s partly down to the nearby street market on Portobello Road. The market here is the perfect place to pick up some vintage treasures and you’re also within walking distance of Oxford Street for more mainstream purchases.

Great Portland Street

Fitzrovia and Marylebone are two charming neighbourhoods north of Oxford Street steeped in history and character. Explore the maze of historic streets here and imagine what life was like for previous residents including Virginia Woolf, George Bernard Shaw, Augustus John, Dylan Thomas and George Orwell. There are plenty of boutiques here to keep your shopping cravings satisfied but if you exhaust all your options, you’re mere minutes away from Oxford Street.

This quaint apartment is located in Bloomsbury, a fashionable residential area of the west end where elegant townhouses are surrounded by gorgeous Georgian garden squares. The neighbourhood features restaurants of various themes and menus, including organic fare, and it is close to many bookshops and curio stores. For more mainstream shopping, simply head south to Oxford Street.
