Even though you can have a good time just about anywhere in the world, here in Ibiza, it's practically a must! Kown for its sickening nightlife and paradise-like beaches, it's become the playground of the rich and famous. Similar to how college kids in the US flock to Miami for spring break, for a lot of Europeans, Ibiza is the place to party. Letting yourself go and having the time of your life is all you need to know about going here. No matter which part of the island you end up in, you'll likely still have a great time!
Cala Benirrás
While Ibiza, in general, is known as the 'capital of partying,' at least in Europe, that's not all of what the place is about. There are some places there's actually more historic meaning to it. Case in point: Cala Benirrás! Back on August 18, 1981, the white sandy beaches of this edge of the island became the venue for a massive protest against the Gulf War. That day became known as the 'Day of the Drums.' And today, Cala Benirrás remains hippie central as many people still gather by the beach to beat their drums and continue striving for peace.

Dalt Vila
You probably would have never guessed it but here on the island of Ibiza, there's actually a walled town called Dalt Vila. Looking very much like a Medieval city, far from the party-centric districts in other parts of the island. Dalt Vila is a majorly underrated tourist attraction. Here, you can get a good sense of what life was like in those times as most, if not all of the corners remain unchanged. Whitewashed houses harken back to past and romantic times, the kind you see in period films, classic novels, and the like.

Figueretas
While in other towns on this list, you'll feel more pressured to party (hard!), Figueretas is a totally different story. Here, the atmosphere is more relaxed, laid-back, and ultimately, more peaceful. It's still a lively coastal town nonetheless, what with the many restaurants, coffee shops, museums, galleries, boutiques, and more here. But you won't necessarily hear EDM pumping out from any nearby nightclubs come sundown. In fact, Figueretas is one of the more family-friendly places in Ibiza. You'll likely have a better time strolling around town, seeing the sights, and going to the beach than attending a rave here!

Ibiza Town (Eivissa)
Now, if you want the party scene that you've heard so much about, look no further than Ibiza Town! Also known as '
Eivissa,' it's, without a doubt, the liveliest town on this list. A very nightlife-centric place, the whole city is practically made of nightclubs, bars, resorts that hosts raves, and more. Not to mention some
luxury apartments to shelter you during your hangover! But don't think that the fun just starts after sundown! On the contrary, there are also loads to do during the day. You can go to a museum, go shopping and
look like a fashionista, eat authentic Spanish dishes in a restaurant, play sports in a park, and many more!

Sant Agustí
On the southwestern side of the island, you'll find Sant Agustí. Vastly different from the other towns on this list, this is one of the more rural areas on this list. Think whitewashed houses all tightly squeezed together within tight pathways. Remote churches atop a hill that looks straight out of a romantic novella. And climbing further up the slopes you get to see a stunning view of the island. If you really want to get away from it all—especially the partying!—and just want to have time for yourself, this is the best place for your escape!

San Carlos
Part of what enchants people to go to Ibiza themselves is the very bohemian-esque spirit of it. Beyond the partying lifestyle, the island is well-loved for being a haven for letting loose, being more open, and just enjoying life. And this sort of mentality is stronger than ever in San Carlos! Just like Cala Benirrás, the town of San Carlos is also hippie-central. From the 60s to today, it remained a largely bohemian town, packed with artsy boutiques, kitschy coffee shops, modern art galleries, and more. If you really want to relax and be a free spirit in Ibiza, this town is for you!

Santa Eulalia
Sometimes, a beautiful seaside resort town is just what the doctor ordered! And here in Ibiza, that's Santa Eulalia! A lot quieter than the other places on this list, this is another peaceful city you can escape to when you just need to relax. The hotels and resorts here will pamper you enough to feel as good as new. But the sights? They'll just take your breath away! Think of a seaside promenade overlooking the Mediterranean decorated with exotic flora. Or a rustic old church atop a hill, looking over the rest of the town. Very postcard-worthy, aren't they?

Santa Gertrudis
Located right smack in the middle of the island, it's safe to say that Santa Gertrudis has a little bit of everything. It's as bohemian and free-spirited a the likes of San Carlos and Cala Benirrás. There are a couple of nightlife hotspots that are just as wild as those in Ibiza Town. And its centric location makes it peaceful enough to rival that of Santa Eulalia! It's no wonder the place has garnered an international community, one that you'd normally find in a city like
Barcelona. It seems just about anybody can find somewhere or something to enjoy here!

Sant Jordi
Now, if you're aiming to see a traditional Spanish village, look no further than Sant Jordi! Almost making to Dalt Vila, it's one of those places that practically looks and feels like it never reached the 21st century. Old houses with classic architecture, opulent churches that seem centuries-old, and charming pavements and pathways with a lot of secrets hidden within them. You're more likely to enjoy the aesthetic of the place rather than party here. And you know what? That's necessarily a bad thing, is it?
