Where to Have Fun in Milan

Family-friendly isn't exactly the best word to describe Milan, is it? Not that the city isn't welcoming to children, but rather, the best attractions here aren't those that would charm the little ones all too much. Milan is known as a central business hub as well as a fashion capital of the world. These aren't exactly what will excite children at all but that doesn't mean they can't go or even live here. There are still places in which the young ones can still have fun. Case in point—the many playgrounds in the city. They'll likely love playing in any or all of them!
Where to Have Fun in Milan

Giardini Publici

Giardini Publici is one of the oldest parks in Milan. It's probably older than a lot of buildings in Venice, gardens in Rome, or even castles in Florence. Ironically, however, the oldest park in Milan draws some of the youngest people in the city. This is because the place, itself is practically a theme park. Amidst the botanical bliss are little train rides, bumper cars, a carousel, and, of course, classic playground features. There are even a few puppet shows to watch every now and then. With all these exciting things on offer, it's like Giardini Publici is a huge playground itself.

Idroscalo

Another place that's practically just a big playground overall? Idroscalo! This large park located in the midst of various Milan districts has become somewhat of a community center for the city. What with all the fun it offers, it's no wonder it's regarded as such! There's a nice trail for bike-riding, large pools for swimming, an artificial lake where people can do all sorts of water sports, and more! Spending the day here with the whole family will be a memorable experience your little ones will remember forever! They'll likely even want to come back for more soon!

Parco Forlanini

At first glance, Parco Forlanini looks like the type of park that's just perfect for a postcard. If you want to let the folks back home know just how beautiful Milan is beyond the more urban areas, a snapshot of this incredible garden will do just fine. But while you revel at the natural beauty of the place, your kids will focus more on how far they can run. Or gush at how big a space they can play tag. Or even test their athletic ability in the Saini Sports Center

Parco Sempione

Parco Sempione is one of those places in Milan that both adults and kids can enjoy to the fullest. For the latter, they'll love playing in the playground here, complete with the classic slides, swings, see-saws, and the like. They'll spend hours and hours playing, climbing, and having all sorts of fun that they won't care that you'll be busy elsewhere (provided, of course, you got another adult to watch over them). So, what will you be doing? Working out! Running, to be more precise! If you're tired of the
gyms in Milan and you want a better place for exercise, jogging in Parco Sempione is your best bet!

Viale Gian Galeazzo

Swings, see-saws, a roundabout, and a slide. These are the classic playground features you'll find in Via Gian Galeazzo! though they may seem pedestrian at best, in an adult-centric city like Milan, they'll be like hidden treasure! Though they're a bit far from each other, the trip is quite worth it. If you moved to Milan for work and brought your kids along, they'll likely appreciate any chance they get to spend time with you. Taking them here, which is located within one of the busier areas in the city, will benefit both you and your little ones!

Viale Argonne Park

Out of all the places on this list, it's safe to say that Viale Argonne Park is arguably the most exciting. Why? Because your kids can do many different things to have fun here. They can jump to their hearts' content in the open trampoline here. And you can even join them if you want! Or they can polish their sports skills with a game of basketball, bocce ball, and more on the many courts in the park! And when their feet get worn out but they still want some more fun, they can ride the beautiful carousel here too!

Where to Have Fun in Milan

Milan is more than just the business hub and the fashion capital many people know it to be. The Italian city is actually as family-friendly as the rest of them. And you'll know this by the many areas where your kids can play all day long!

Playgrounds aren't th only things Milan has. The city also has a great number of luxury homes to rent while you're here!
